According to 28-year old Angolan captain Fabrice Akwa, his team is quite capable of springing up a few surprises in the group matches that has Portugal and Mexico.
He said;
We know the favorites in our group are Portugal and Mexico, but we are going there to surprise these teams in their first-ever finals at the imminent FIFA World Cup.
Akwa, who will turn 29 on the eve of the World Cup, said that they would try to and also do better than they did in African Cup because this time they have to fight nail and tooth in all the games if they hope to beat Portugal and Mexico to begin with.
Angola first will meet Portugal on June 11 at the finals. Who know, we can have some very interesting conversation here.
As far as I am concerned, I shall be keeping a keen eye on the African nations’ performance in the championship and Angola is top of the list.
