teddyjpg_54The 40-year-old, veteran Teddy Sheringham, making only his second start for the season came up with a glittery performance as West Ham finally brought their eight-match losing streak to an end. They beat Blackburn to salvage some pride but again failed to keep a clean sheet.

The win puts the Hammers 16th in the Premiership, providing a sigh of relief and easing out pressure on Alan Pardew. There have been lot of contradictions over his position; speculations of former England coach Sven Goran Eriksson replacing him. But nothing has intimidated him and he still enjoys a healthy fanfare.

This is clubs second win this season and so this is special for them, but one win isn’t enough for the Hammers to feel safe in the Premiership, they will have to continue winning and for that they have a lot of work to do.
