The Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that striker Robin van Persie is likely to miss out the rest of the season with injury.
The Dutch international broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot after scoring in Arsenal’s win over Manchester United late January and hasn’t played since - he was expected to return towards the end of the season but is now feared to miss the entire campaign of the Gunners this season.
