Scolari not leaving Europe

For the last few days, there were speculations that Luiz Felipe Scolari would end his stint with Portugal and join his home team Brazil. However, it proved wrong. According to the media reports, Scolari turned down an offer from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to take over national squad’s coach post from Carlos Alberto Parreira. After unceremoniously exit from the FIFA world Cup 2006, everybody is seeking removal of Alberto. Some of the expert views are in favor of Scolari because he pioneered Brazil’s fifth world cup victory in 2002. The tough-speaking Scolari did not want to leave Europe. He would rather decide whether to continue with Portugal or not, but reasserted that he will not leave Europe. Scolari took Portugal to the World Cup semi-finals for the first time, while France knocked five-times world champions Brazil out of the tournament in the quarterfinals.
