The 22-year-old Dutch winger, Arjen Robben has struggled to find a regular place in the Blues squad this season since recovering from injury - and his position looks to be in jeopardy as Boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign the French sensation Florent Malouda as his replacement.
Robben has threatened to quit Chelsea if they go ahead with the deal signing French ace Malouda for a fee of around £15 million (€22 million).
He quoted,
“If I am not in the team I will have to consider other options. Chelsea said I would be playing more regularly so let us wait and see.
“There are some players here who get a lot of money for doing nothing but I don’t want to be one of them. I am too young for that.”
26 year-old Malouda is considered one of the best young prospects in France, earning 26 international caps to his name, he is a close friend to the Blues strike-force Didier Drogba which could be an additional impetus for the Frenchman to travel to England.
The Dutchman was a summer target for the Spanish Giants, who still are in the hunt for him, if Mourinho wishes to do without Robben then who knows next season he is playing under Capello in Madrid.
