Jose Mourinho stuns the world of football especially, Chelsea’s fan base by leaving Stamford Bridge. No one had predicted his premature depart with a Premier League season still on and the destiny of bringing the Champions League to Chelsea still unfulfilled. It appears inevitable that his relationship with owner Abramovich grew increasingly bitter that led to the exit, inspite having three years left on his contract.
The unsurpassed manager Chelsea ever had, joined the club in 2004 that has left a legacy of success, marred only by two Champions League semi-final defeats to Liverpool. Adding to his feats saw him voted as Premiership manager of the year in 2005 and 2006. A day earlier, Chelsea came in with 1-1 Champions League draw with Rosenborg and will now face its first game sans Mourinho, against the champions Manchester United. Can Chelsea keep its confidence level up at this juncture or will it further lower their chances of winning the title is yet unanswerable.
While, former Chelsea midfielder Didier Deschamps has emerged as one of the frontrunners to fill in the void at Stamford Bridge.
