It wasn’t an easy affair for the Red Devils at the Nou Camp with the Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic out owing to a severe stomach infection. They were definitely panicky without his presence against Barca at home but they luckily survived the threat by managing a draw. The news of Vidic returning back to business would see Sir Alex Fergusson’s chest swell with confidence when he walks out at Stamford Bridge to seal the fate of the English Premiere League title.
It will not be good news for Chelsea though who were desperately hoping for Vidic’s absence from the team as they need a win to tilt the balance in their favour. Vidic combined with Ferdinand makes for a gruelling defensive pair which isn’t easy to beat for the best of the teams on the globe. Also the fact that Chelsea haven’t lost for 101 games at home means that they would come all guns blazing at the Reds and with Vidic in the team, it would help United tackle the onslaught better.
