Avram Grant want be too pleased a man after a recent statement form the ex Blues Coach, Jose Mourinho, mentioning that it was purely because of his coaching prowess and infused spirit that Chelsea gained the confidence to beat a team as tough and blessed as Manchester United. Mourinho’s claim cannot be dubbed as fake as records too indicate that Chelsea managed to beat the Red devils 5 times in 10 matches during his stint as the club’s manager.

Mourinho pointed at another fact in those victories which was the prolific striker, Christiano Ronaldo’s Inability to score against Chelsea in all those games. If anyone from the Red Devils took notice of this statement from Mourinho, they could well assess that Ronaldo’s failure wasn’t natural but something planned by the blues which hinted towards not letting him score against them, ultimately denting the chances of a win for them, he being a major influence in any game ManU plays.

Mourinho mentioned:

The Chelsea players know how to beat Manchester, they know how to beat them, they know why we beat them. They know why – against them – we did a few things we did not do in other matches. There is something also in the fact that in these matches Ronaldo did not score against Chelsea. This is a player who normally scores in every game.

Whatever is the case, Chelsea faces Manchester United today in a crunch game and then again they could meet for a Champions League final and if at all Mourinho gave them the Guru Mantra, Chelsea players should stick to it for it would only benefit their present cause. A charged up Manchester United though won’t be an easy opponent to conquer and if Ronaldo is listening, he should put one behind the bars quickly to get ManU going and if he fails, it would mean Chelsea surely ties him down.
