ronaldinho

Since the drop in form of Ronaldinho last season, speculation that the Brazilian would move out of Camp Nou has been mounting.

Most football commentators thought that this summer the Brazilian ace would be parting company with the mighty FC Barcelona and since most big names seem to be heading towards one destination, that is, Stamford Bridge, he was widely marked as the next big coup that Roman Abramovich pulls off.

But Ronaldinho stayed at Barcelona and Chelsea’s hopes of recruiting the best footballer on the planet crashed to the ground.

Yet, in the ever speculative European football market, rumors once stared stay alive for a long alive.

Reports of Chelsea’s eager to sign the Brazilian next season have been doing the rounds. And, with the absence of Ronaldinho from the last two Barcelona matches in La Liga fanned the fire that Ronaldinho and Barca don’t quite see eye to eye any more.

Barca have continuously denied reports cogitating that they are eager to offload an off-colour Ronaldinho, And they have come out once more in the open denying that they do not want Ronaldinho any more.

In a recent club statement, the Catalan giants confirmed that they won’t let the Brazilian leave the club at any price. They have also denied that there is any rift between the layer and the Board or the manager.

Ronaldinho has been out of action for the last two games and was been substituted in three successive matches before that. He is officially injured but the Catalan dailies have been screaming crisis.

The newspapers suggest that Ronaldinho is no longer wanted at the club that has added Thierry Henry to their already star-studded line-up which also includes Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto’o and Andres Iniesta. Barca’s rebuff is obviously targeted at Chelsea who are desperate to bolster their midfield with more creativity and inspiration.

But, one can hardly say with confidence that their denial would help stop the speculations.
