Don’t go, Real Madrid pleads Beckham

Happy days are here again for arguably the most photographed footballer ever, David Beckham, who realizes form, and not glamour, decides fate. After his sizzling form in the friendly tie against Brazil, the flamboyant mid-fielder finds himself again in demand with his club Real Madrid eager to retain him. Axed from the England team after last year’s disastrous World Cup campaign in Germany, Beckham was not enjoying his stint at Real Madrid and decided to join LA Galaxy after his contract with Real comes to an end in June. Beckham’s decision irked coach Fabio Capello who made it clear that he would not field the mid-fielder in any match and Real President Ramon Calderon was even more furious at the player, whom he described as "an average cinema actor living in Hollywood." But once Beckham showed his class in the last two matches for England, things changed overnight. The same Real Madrid is now requesting Beckham to ditch LA Galaxy and stay back at the club, even though it does not look a possibility with a Beckham spokesman making it clear that the player would commit his deal with the American club. The spokesman said David is looking forward to going to LA – but he wants to end his career at Real Madrid on a high note first, by winning the league.
