In what can be termed as a late move, Arsenal has signed midfielder Lassana Diarra from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee. According to report, Diarra has signed a long-term contract with the Arsenal.
According to Diarra,
I have great respect for the manager Arsene Wenger and am attracted by the style of football that the team plays. Of course I am excited by what the future holds and keen to play my part in helping Arsenal fight for trophies.
I am not so sure about this latest signing from Arsenal, because what I have seen of Diarra he doesn’t impress me. Diarra played some matches for Chelsea as a right back last season but was awful. He committed too many mistakes in the defence. Although, he is quite quick on the ball but playing against the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea will surely test him.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that versatility of Diarra will help Arsenal in clinching the English Premier League (EPL) title this season.
