Despite an ankle injury David Beckham is confident that he will make through for his debut with the Los Angeles Galaxy in a July 21 exhibition match against Chelsea, in California. The midfielder had injured his left ankle while playing for England in a European Championship qualifier on June 6. The injury flared up when he played for Real Madrid in the Spanish league. The injury worsened and made him have an ankle scan during a stopover in London. It was diagnosed that he has an injured ligament however the injury showed no long-term damage. His agent, Simon Oliveira said : With the right rest and rehabilitation he should be training as planned when he arrives in the States. Beckham’s participation had helped Real Madrid win the league title before leaving the Spanish club, he has also recovered his place in the England team. He will be introduced as a Galaxy player on July 13 at the Major League Soccer team’s stadium in Carson, Calif.
