Djibril Cisse is set to miss the World Cup after injuring his right leg in a warm-up match against China this week, France coach Raymond Domenech confirmed.



France forward player Cisse was in surgery at a Saint-Etienne hospital, coach Raymond Domenech added. However, he did not divulge the full extent of the injury.



Cisse hurt his right leg when he was bumped off by a Chinese defender in the practice match. It happened in the 10th minute of the game.

Cisse is the one of key players of France. He played a major role in World Cup qualifying for his team. He scored four goals. Cisse had surgical treatment for a double fracture of his left leg in his first season at Liverpool in October 2004.
