Chris Sutton is an experienced campaigner... He is a very resourceful player, has played for Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers and Celtic, of late had been a part of Birmingham City, and now plans to move as a free agent to Aston Villa.
The 33-year-old Sutton became a free agent after Birmingham City released him post last season, and with the signing for Villa, has becomes Martin O’Neill’s third Villa signing...The multi-talented striker will be a part of Villa until the end of the season.
Sutton isn’t fully fit, which is the prime reason why City left him... If he wants to make a mark with the new club, he will initially have to prove his fitness to make it to the contention to make a place in the starting line up.
His move is only possible because he is a free agent... Or else the transfer wouldn’t be possible as the transfers window will not reopen before January... he has played under the Villa boss O’Neill at Celtic so the both are familiar to each other... And O’Neill is expected to use him to replace injured Luke Moore... Hope Sutton enjoys playing for his new club.
