It was a very struggling night for Chelsea against Newcastle when, Chelsea’s striker Didier Drogba stroked the goal in the 74th minute of the game.

In the first half of the game, Newcastle’s striker Sibierski endangered the opponents by heading the ball to goal but hit the bar. He rose highest to meet James Milner’s corner after the first 15 minutes. After that, Giuseppe Rossi was narrowly off-target with a left-foot snap shot, 10 minutes before the half time.
Chelsea improved when Drogba scored the goal after the break time, and Arjen Robben just missed the post. Changes were being made at regular intervals, which gave the result after the half time, as Drogba sent to the field-substituting striker Shevchenko.
Earlier Robben, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Salomon Kalou were provided the opportunities. Chelsea dominated the exchanges, when Lampard shot over. Kalou also missed two opportunities.
Before the half time when Charles N’Zogbia fell awkwardly, Matty Pattison replaced him, but the hopes of Newcastle shattered. N’Zogbia was stretched off with a knee injury.
Finally, Chelsea beat the Newcastle and broke the deadlock at the 74th minute, as Drogba hit the goal.
This victory takes Chelsea to the second position of the UEFA League, and is now just five points behind the Manchester United. If Chelsea keep this momentum, it will definitely lead the league in the coming time.
