Beleaguered Jol says he’s happy at Spurs

Back to back defeats at the hands of Sunderland and Everton and rumours of his axing notwithstanding, Tottenham manager Martin Jol asserts he is happy where he is and has no plans to look for a greener pasture elsewhere. A beleaguered Jol said I feel comfortable if people let me be and if I can do my work. They will do that because the chairman said he was 100% behind me. I feel I am the man capable of bringing success. Jol has been going through a turbulent season. First his side went down to Sunderland and Everton and then Sevilla coach Juande Ramos claimed that Spurs offered him a lucrative deal to replace Jol but he decided to turn it down. Jol said It is not a nice thing to hear that the club had approached Ramos but I know that continuity and stability is the word. The cornered coach is now banking on the Spurs supporters and said he can see through the personal and team crisis with their help. According to him, the club needed a concerted effort to come through difficult time and besides the coach and the players, the supporters also need to throw their weight behind the side. Image
