Back in the year 2006 David Beckham would have never thought that he would get a chance to make his hundredth appearance for his national side but thanks to the appointment of Capello as the new coach, the man would get his due tomorrow against the French in a friendly affair.
Beckham himself admitted that he thought his international career was over before he was recalled by the Italian Coach Fabio Capello. The Legendary mid-fielder who made his debut 11 years ago believes that it isn’t just his hundredth appearance which should end his career, instead, he would like to contribute to the teams cause for as long as possible.
Only four English players before Beckham have been able to secure this honour. The difference in his case would be the fact that he won’t be captaining the side unlike them. Beckham however has had the honour on 58 occasions and does not regret John Terry leading him in tomorrow’s affair.
