Wenger’s comprehensive years of success with the club have fetched him a new three-year deal worth £12 million, also ensuring a huge boost to the under-siege Arsenal, after months of speculation over club’s future.

With the current deal due to expire at the end of this season, fears were mounting that Wenger would walk off, after nearly spending a 12 year span with the club amid frustrations over his restricted transfer budget and the manner in which one of Arsenal’s director and record goal scorer had earlier quitted.

Wenger making a £4 million per year has become the second highest paid manager in the Premier League behind Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho.

Achieving great success under his belt the club has won three Premiership titles and four FA Cups and had made up to the finals of the Champions League in 2006. He also became the only Premier League manager to guide his team throughout the whole season without a defeat, in 2003.

Making a good start to the season, the club is second in the Premier League and have ensured a place in the Champions League group stage, as well.

Possessing a talent for unearthing future players, Wenger has always proved to abide by his contracts.
