The 22 year-old Iraqi national Ghanim Ghudayer who was a member of the Iraq’s Olympic soccer team, and played for Baghdad’s Air Force Club, was kidnapped from his hometown. The sports in Iraq have continuously been under threat, as many of the sports officials and players have frequently received threats, and a few of them have even lost their lives.
