10th Straight Win for Inter Milan, beats Lazio 2-0 in Italian League

Inter Milan has made a 10th straight win after defeating Lazio 2-0 on Wednesday, with Esteban Cambiasso scoring the first goal and Marco Materazzi second of the match. Inter did a fabulous job after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was shown yellow card for the second time in the first half. Rest of the 10 players doubled up their power for the win. Esteban Cambiasso hit the target off by a pass from Hernan Crespo in the 39th minute. The second goal was a terrific one scored by Zlata Ibrahimovic’s header off a free kick hit by Luis Figo in the 85th minute of the match. After the 10th straight win in the Serie A, Inter Milan is one victory back to match the last record of 11-games winning streak of the last season, made by AS Roma. Inter has an opportunity to match the record, after setting another consecutive victory against Atlanta at home on the coming Saturday. Inter Milan coach Robert Mancini said, His team was extraordinary and the numbers say that whoever wins the midway title, in the majority of cases is champion. I hope that’s the way it is this time too. Roma is placed second at the time, beats another 10-man squad, Torini 2-1, with 38 points. Palermo stands third after defeating Ascoli, 4-0 goals made by Mark Bresciano, Eugenio Corini, Giovanni Tedesco and Ciro Capuano. AC Milan beat Catania, 3-0 on Wednesday as Kaka scored two and Alberto Gilardino added the other one to it. Luca Toni scored two goals and helped Fiorentina to bag a win over Cagliari by 2-0. After AC Milan’s recent win, AC is just six points behind the fourth place. Empoli beat Siena 1-0 on a 47th-minute goal scored by Francesco Marianini; Simone Tiribocchi came off the bench to score an 89th-minute winner in Chievo Verona’s 3-2 victory over Reggina; and Daniele Paponi’s first Serie A goal in the 77th minute earned Parma a 1-1 draw at Messina. Amantino Mancini added, Inter is on a roll, the important thing is not to give up. We have our own goals and we’re counting on winning as many games as possible. Another round of the Seria A is scheduled for Saturday, as the break starts for the Christmas and New Year Day’s holidays begin.
